ふしめ【節目】

〔木などの〕 a knot; 〔人生の区切り目〕 a critical juncture; a turning point.

●卒業, 結婚, 出産などといった人生の節目に at important [major, decisive] (turning) points in (one's) life, such as graduation, marriage, or the birth of a child; at major life transitions such as graduation, marriage, or the birth of a child.

●戦後 60 年の節目の年に当たり this year, which marks the 60th anniversary of the end of the war.

●彼は人生の節目を迎えている. He's now embarking on a new stage in his life.
